How Sweet!

Today I found this note from Dakota to Emily on the whiteboard she got for Christmas:

It's little things like this that make me smile and give me hope that we just might make it after all.

Family Home Evening Treats!!

We made homemade donuts for FHE refreshments tonight.  After getting the oil too hot, and filling the house with smoke, we finally got it right.  It was tons of fun, and they were really yummy!

Baptism Day!

Today was a special day for Jayden and our family.  He was baptized by his older brother John.  He waited a couple months until John turned 16, so that John could be the one to baptize him.  I was so proud of both of them.  It was touching to see them all dressed in white for the ordinance.  Jayden's dad performed the confirmation after the baptism.

During the program, Brittany, Emily, Ashley, and Dakota sang "I Like to Look for Rainbows."  They did a great job, and their sweet voices brought the spirit to the meeting.  John's friend Marisa gave the opening prayer. 

Jayden had some friend's from his dad ward attend, as well as our family, Grandpa and Grandma Fausett, and Uncle Chris' and Nathan's families. We had a family dinner at our house after the baptism.  It was a great experience.
